Can I make a batch without creating an account?

Yes. Open the create page, name it, and you have a working batch with a shareable link — no signup, no card, no email. It is a real batch: you can add codes, update them, and send the link to anyone. When you want it tied to an account so it appears in a dashboard and cannot be lost, claim it with an email at any point. Nothing you built is thrown away when you claim.

Do people need an account to view my batch?

No. Every batch has a public link anyone can open on any device without signing in or installing anything - and unlike every rival we looked at, that means the scan counts can go on a screen or to a client rather than living only in a dashboard you have to log into. You can embed it too, and the embedded copy updates live. If you would rather a batch not be public, you can turn public access off.

What do I actually get on the free plan?

2 active batches with up to 15 codes each, generated in bulk from a pasted list, with scan counts, the public link and vector downloads - no card and no time limit. Bulk generation is the feature every other tool in this category charges about $16 a month for, and there is never advertising in front of the people who scan your codes. The limits you eventually hit are code count and batch count.

I only need this for one event. Do I have to subscribe?

No. One-time passes exist precisely because most batches are made for a single weekend, campaign or season. You pay once, run the event with the higher limits, and nothing renews afterwards. What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static code has the destination encoded in the pattern itself, so changing where it points means printing a new code. A dynamic code encodes a short link you control, so the printed pattern never changes and you edit the destination whenever you like - which is also what makes counting scans possible. Static is genuinely the better choice when the destination will never change and you do not care about the count: it works forever and depends on nobody.

Can I change where a QR code points after I have printed it?

Yes, if the code is dynamic. Edit the destination and the next scan goes somewhere new, with nothing reprinted. That is usually the whole reason to use a dynamic code on a printed label: reprinting forty labels costs more than the plan does.

What happens when I reach the code limit?

The batch refuses the new code and tells you the limit. It never accepts data and quietly hides the overflow - an earlier version did exactly that on bulk imports, and people did not notice their data was wrong until much later. A pass, a subscription or the one-time batch unlock all raise the cap immediately.
