It depends on the job. MakeTheQR is built around making a whole batch of codes at once - one per table, bin or room - and giving each one a scan count on a page you can share. The free tier is paid for with advertising shown to the people who scan your codes. On a code printed on a menu, a product label or an asset tag, that advertising is attached to your business, not theirs. If that gap is not one you feel, ME-QR is a good product and this comparison says so.

When should I use ME-QR instead?

You need a very large number of tracked codes at no cost, the codes are for personal or internal use, and nobody scanning them will mind an advert on the way through.

Can I move my codes from ME-QR?

Static codes cannot be moved by anyone - the destination is inside the printed pattern, so codes already printed keep working exactly as they are and are unaffected by what you use next. Dynamic codes are different: they resolve through the provider's domain, so a code printed through ME-QR keeps depending on ME-QR. Anything you have not printed yet can simply be recreated here from the same list.
